The Federal Communications Department wants to know why Apple rejected Google's new voice app from its iPhone app store. The Google Voice service, which offers users free domestic telephone calls, deeply discounted international calls and SMS messages, could be seen in the eyes of AT&T as a huge threat. Because of this the FCC is also investigating more on what role AT&T played in the rejection. AT&T told the FCC that it had no part in the decision, while Apple claims it never happened. Apple told the FCC on Friday that it has not "rejected" the application, but that they are still "studying it, in part because of privacy concerns". Post from: Talk iPhone 3G
